The Children's Festival Club events have been integrated into the main Festival events this year so the whole family can be involved.
If your child plays Fiddle, they can join the Fiddle Workshop on Sunday afternoon, 1st November 2026 at The Village Inn. See the Workshop programme. Take them along!
There is a "Guising" Fancy Dress Competion for children up to the age of 15-years-old during the Interval at Joy Dunlop's Concert on Saturday, 31st October 2026.
Guising dates back centuries in our Gaelic culture and is associated with Samhain - which marks the end of the harvest season and the start of winter, the dark season - the time when our natural world and the unnatural otherworld coms together. It was a time when children would disguise themselves so that they could not be seen by the demons and ghouls that walk amongst us at Oidhche Shamhna.
Children can go FREE to this concert with our "Green Kettle' promotion which offers the best value for the family to be involved in this year's Festival. There are also concessionary tickets for children with our standard Festival tickets.
There should be enough time to go out and Trick or Treat before Saturday's concert and then come along enjoy some great music, have a bite to eat with a drink and let the kids take part in the fancy dress competition during the interval to see who has the best Guising outfit.
