Arrochar

Arrochar is a village at the head of Loch Long in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. The Arrochar Alps are named after the village. The village is within the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. 

Fèis Chiùil an Àrachair 

Fèis Chiùil an Àrachair is a community project organised by Arrochar Gaelic Language and Cultural Society (AGLCS) and AMF Events. We host a number of community events throughout the year  promoting the richness of our culture, language, music and arts.   

Fèis Chiùil an Àrachair 2026 will be held on the weekend of Friday, 30th October to Sunday, 1st November 2026. It will comprise of concerts at the main village hall a number of small gigs and sessions at various venues in Arrochar and Tarbet. We will also be hosting a Workshop. 

We intend to host this annual event on a weekend around Oidhche Shamhna, Halloween which was seen to celebrate the end of the harvest season and the start of winter, the dark half of the year - a time when children went 'guising' to disguise and protect themselves from wandering evil spirits and wicked ghouls on the evening of Samhain.

THE FORMAT

Fèis Chiùil an Àrachair is a small, intimate festival. The main concerts and workshops will take place at the Three Villages Hall by the waterfront in Arrochar at the top of Loch Long.  A number of local bars and restaurants are hosting music sessions and the timetable is included on the line up page.

Please see the Festival Club page on this website. There are limited tickets available because of the size of the venue. We are looking to finalise a Free Festival Club for children accompanied by adults - more to follow on this.
